Certified Expertise in Termite and Pest Damage Repair

At The Termite Guy, we bring over 25 years of experience and certifications as licensed general contractors (B-1) and roofing contractors (C-39) to every project. Our expertise allows us to identify and address damage caused by termites and pests, ensuring your home is safe, secure, and free from structural vulnerabilities. Unlike traditional contractors, we specialize in repairs stemming from pest activity, offering targeted solutions that go beyond surface fixes.

Common Damage Caused by Termites and Pests
Pests like termites, rodents, and wood-boring insects can wreak havoc on your property, causing:

  • Weakened Support Structures: Termites and rodents often chew through wooden posts, beams, and rafters, compromising the stability of decks and roofs.
  • Hollow or Fractured Wood: Termites eat from the inside out, leaving wood that appears intact but is structurally unsound.
  • Visible Frass or Droppings: Termites leave behind sawdust-like material, while rodents leave droppings near food and nesting areas.
  • Sagging or Warped Surfaces: Infestations can lead to weakened materials that sag under pressure.

With our certified expertise and pest-focused approach, you can trust The Termite Guy to accurately diagnose issues and provide effective, long-lasting solutions.

Reinforcing Your Home’s First Line of Defense

Roof structures are particularly vulnerable to termite and pest damage, with wooden rafters, eaves, and fascia boards providing ideal nesting and feeding grounds. At The Termite Guy, we bring our pest expertise to roof repairs, addressing damage caused by infestations and ensuring your roof remains secure.

Our Roof Repair Process

  1. Detailed Evaluation: We inspect your roof for termite damage, such as hollow wood, sagging structures, or pest nests in eaves and rafters.
  2. Pest Damage Mitigation: Infested wood is safely removed, and affected areas are treated to eliminate any remaining pests.
  3. Wood Replacement: Damaged beams, fascia, and rafters are replaced with treated, pest-resistant materials to prevent future issues.
  4. Structural Repairs: We reinforce your roof’s framework to restore strength and integrity, ensuring it can handle weather and wear.
  5. Protective Measures: Pest deterrents and moisture barriers are added to help safeguard your roof from future infestations.

By focusing on repairs from a pest damage perspective, we address both current problems and future risks, providing lasting protection for your home.

Restoring Safety and Stability to Your Deck

Decks are a common target for termite and pest damage, with wooden posts, beams, and boards often falling victim to gnawing and infestation. Over time, this damage can weaken your deck’s structural integrity and compromise its safety. At The Termite Guy, we specialize in deck repairs from a pest damage perspective, using our expertise as licensed general contractors (B-1) to restore your outdoor space.

Our Deck Repair Process

  1. Thorough Inspection: We assess your deck for visible signs of termite or pest damage, including weakened posts, frass (termite droppings), or hollowed wood.
  2. Targeted Repairs: Damaged wood is replaced with high-quality, pest-resistant materials to ensure long-term durability.
  3. Structural Reinforcement: We secure the foundation and joists to restore stability and support.
  4. Protective Treatments: Weatherproofing and pest-resistant coatings are applied to safeguard against future damage.
  5. Seamless Restoration: Handrails, decking boards, and other elements are repaired or replaced to match your deck’s original design and enhance its visual appeal.

With The Termite Guy, you get more than just deck repairs—you gain peace of mind knowing your outdoor space is safe, sound, and protected against pests.

Common Roof & Deck Repair Questions

Is it more expensive to use one company for treatment and repair instead of separate specialists?

Not typically — and it's often less expensive overall, since you're not paying for duplicate inspections, redundant scheduling, or the inefficiencies of two companies coordinating on the same job. You'll get one estimate covering both the treatment and the repair.

Do you handle roof repairs related to termite or pest damage?

Yes. As a licensed C-39 roofing contractor, we can repair roof structures, fascia, eaves, and other areas damaged by termites or wood-destroying pests as part of the same project—eliminating the need to coordinate with a separate roofing contractor. If your home requires fumigation, it's also important to know that roof tiles can occasionally crack or shift as technicians move across the roof to install and remove the tent. If that happens, our in-house roofing team can repair or replace the affected tiles, making the entire process much more convenient and helping restore your roof once the fumigation is complete.

Will repair work be covered under any warranty?

Yes. Our wood repairs include a 1-year workmanship warranty. Warranty coverage for roof repairs varies depending on the scope of work and will be clearly outlined in your repair estimate.

Can you repair dry rot in addition to termite damage?

Yes. Dry rot and termite damage often look similar and sometimes occur in the same areas, so we evaluate and repair both as part of a single wood repair scope.

What kinds of wood repair do you handle after termite damage?

We repair structural framing, sill plates, fascia, rafter tails, subflooring, siding, and any other wood components compromised by termites or related conditions like dry rot. Repairs are scoped during the same inspection that identifies the damage.

Why does it matter if the same company handles treatment and repair?

When treatment and repair are handled by separate companies, you're often stuck coordinating schedules, getting conflicting opinions about what's actually damaged, and paying two separate markups. One company licensed for both means one inspection, one scope of work, and one team accountable for the result.

If termites have damaged my home, can The Termite Guy repair it too?

Yes. In addition to being a licensed structural pest control company, we're also a licensed general contractor (CSLB B-1) and licensed roofing contractor (CSLB C-39). That means we can handle the entire process—from the termite inspection and treatment to repairing any termite-damaged wood and roofing—so you don't have to coordinate multiple contractors.

What should I expect on the day of my appointment?

Our technician will call or text ahead, walk the property with you if you're home, and explain findings and next steps in plain language before leaving you with a written report. There's no pressure to decide on treatment on the spot — you'll have the information you need to make the right call for your home.

What's not covered under a typical termite warranty?

Warranties typically exclude new damage caused by structural changes made after treatment, conditions an inspector couldn't access, and situations where required follow-up inspections were skipped. Specific terms are spelled out in writing with every warranty we issue.

Are warranties transferable if I sell my home?

Yes. Our warranties stay with the property, not the homeowner, so they can be transferred to the new owner when the home is sold. A transferable termite warranty can be a valuable selling point, giving buyers added confidence that the home remains protected.

What's covered under your fumigation warranty?

Our fumigation treatments come with a 5-year warranty against drywood termites, so if the same type of infestation returns to the treated structure within that period, we'll address it under the warranty terms provided in writing at the time of treatment.

What payment options do you offer?

Call our office to discuss available payment options for your specific service.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes — ask about a free estimate when you schedule with us.

How much does termite treatment cost?

It depends on the treatment type and the extent of the infestation. Fumigation pricing is based on your home's cubic footage (call with your address for a ballpark), while localized treatment pricing depends entirely on what's found during inspection — we don't estimate it sight-unseen.

How long has The Termite Guy been in business?

We've been serving Southern California homeowners and businesses since 1997, as a family-owned and operated company.

Is The Termite Guy licensed and insured?

Yes — we hold a Structural Pest Control Board license (#PR5121), a Contractors State License Board license covering general building contracting and roofing (B-1 & C-39, #771813), and California Department of Pesticide Regulation Qualified Applicator Licenses.

Do you offer emergency or same-week service?

We do our best to accommodate urgent situations. Call our office for the soonest available appointment.

Do you serve commercial properties as well as residential?

Yes — we provide termite and pest control services for both residential homes and commercial properties throughout our Southern California service area.

How quickly can you get someone out to my property?

Call our office for the soonest available appointment.

How do I schedule an inspection or service?
